When Manon moves to Los Angeles to start her new life, she has no idea that her senior year of high school is about to be turned upside down by a girl. Barely settled into her new school, she quickly becomes friends with Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae. But with Sophia, it's a different story. Between cutting remarks, relentless competition, and constant arguments, the two teenagers seem incapable of going a day without provoking each other. Yet, behind their apparent differences lie similar wounds, shared dreams, and an understanding that no one else seems able to offer them. As hatred gives way to curiosity, then to an undeniable attraction, Manon and Sophia will have to confront their feelings... even if it risks destroying everything they've built. The apocalypse influenced the tooth grinning girl, teaching lessons to just to have another taste of day. Learning to not get attached, learning to think beyond the surface. But she was still her. Still hurt. Still Sophia Laforteza. Manon was lucky to be alive. She thought the breath of life would be over sooner or later. She had nothing left to lose in her life, that was until, some girl came to be the light of it. But you can't fight for a love that was destroyed to begin with.

An embarrassing first day wasn't exactly how YN imagined starting over in New York City. One wrong step, a stack of books slipping from her arms, and suddenly she was face to face with Manon, a boxer whose commanding presence should have been intimidating. But it was the unexpected softness in her eyes that YN couldn't shake. From that moment on, things begin to change. The city feels less overwhelming with her being a transfer student , and soon YN finds herself pulled into the orbit of a group of girls who make her question everything she thought she knew about friendship, belonging, and herself. But no matter how much she tries to ignore it, her thoughts keep circling back to Manon. Fierce yet gentle, impossible yet magnetic pull she had on her. she might just be the reason YN starts to believe this new world could finally be the place she's meant to be.
