This story takes place in the CW's arrowverse, primarily Batwoman. This story is written as of 7/18/2020, meaning season 2 of Batwoman has not aired yet. Meaning the oc Ryan Wilder played by Javicia Leslie has not been introduced, and for now Batgirl is meeting Kate Kane as Batwoman played by Ruby Rose. And with the knowledge of Batwoman proved in season 1, Kate Kane does not have any nieces, and flamebird/hawkfire is not part of CW shows. Making Barbara Gordan the next batgirl, which is not the first time CW has done this. For example, making Sara Lance the first black canary, as presented in arrow.
