Changeling Jim au. When Barbara went to check on her son that night, she found a couple of goblins switching out her son. But after chasing them away she learns that she was too late, yet her big heart refuses to allow an innocent child to be thrown aside and be blamed for the misfortune that had befallen them. With new found resolve, she goes in search for answers to what happened while also searching endlessly for her biological son all the hwile being a single mother and a doctor in training. This soon leads her down the path of the magical and supernatural as she meets allies who are more than willing to aid in her search. Little did everyone know, Jim was a bigger mystery than originally thought. And it all started seven years after his switch when they discover a boy identical to Jim on the other side of a mirror. --- Basically a Changeling Jim au where the real James Lake Jr grows up in the darklands while Jim lives on the surface. What if Strickler had been there the whole time? What of Jim's dad left and he was a baby? What if Walt married Barbara? What if Jim wasn't the trollhunter? What if... a changeling was the trollhunter?

For Douxie, being an immortal wizard had a lot of perks, but also a lot of downsides. One being that he forever looked 16. One day he gets caught by the police and sent to live with a foster family, the Lakes, and gets far more attached to them than he'd planned. But apparently living with the Lakes came with it's own downsides, and his life gets turned into chaos. But it's all worth it for family, right? Basically Douxie gets sent to live with Jim and Barbara, but of course since Jim is the Trollhunter shit just keeps happening and Douxie wants nothing more than to keep his new family safe. In this Jim has been the Trollhunter for a couple months and of course it's very canondivergent because Douxie is now part of the equation. Canon ships only cos It's one of the only shows where the canon ships are actualy really good and cute. Also I know I used the cover art for another one of my fics but I literally cannot find any other art or anything with Jim and Douxie in it so sorry but this is my go to. Sorta inspired by this fic on AO3 called Pros and Cons of Eternal Youth by claycastles, but not a bunch. Enjoy!

First of, sorry for grammar mistakes. I plan to fix it when I will have free time. What if Draal survived with just an injury, met the Merlin, lived in the basement again, etc...... Well, we all wish it... But does we know if he got some trauma from his serving to SkullCrusher? And what if after battle will Merlin heal the Heartstone? Will he be strong enough to live in place that he helped to destroy, even if it wasn't his fault? Does he have a courage to look into his father's eye's? Read and find out.... (Possible idea that Merlin won't heal the Heartstone and Draal will stay in Arcadia)

Jim is heartbroken when he goes back in time, knowing it was the right thing to do but unable to handle being the only one to remember all that had happened the past three years. But with the help of Douxie and Archie, he mends his broken heart while fixing the mistakes of the past. Basically Jim is super depressed cos no one remembers anything, but Douxie helps him and they both work together to fight the bad guys while dealing with their trauma and sadness. NOT Douxie x Jim, they have a big brother little brother relationship. Kinda inspired by this one fic 'Your Future Hasn't Been Written Yet' by Sakon76 on Fanfiction.net, but only certain parts. You should read that tho it's really good. And Jim stays the Trollhunter, beacause I say so. I absolutely hated the way Rise Of The Titans ended so I decided to write this fanfic depicting how I would have liked it to go instead. I never actually watched ROTT. I just know how it ended and therefore refused to watch it and wrote this instead, so forgive me if I get some things wrong.
