Closure isn't coming easy to Barbie after her evening with Oppenheimer. It's even more difficult when she meets Neil Lewis, a single dad who takes an interest in her-someone who's a little silly and incredibly considerate. But what's holding her back from committing to him completely when things start to go well? Barbie realizes that in order to move on with her future, she has to go back to the past. And that means having to confront why she's so hung up on this single night affair, including reaping the consequences of seeing Oppenheimer just after the end of the war.

When Ken discovers the seemingly magical power of nuclear energy, things don't go quite as planned. Innocent civilians are under nuclear threat, Barbieland is in crisis, and Ken begins to feel the weight of his responsibilities.
