However, during one shot, some rivals of Octavia's parents try to kidnap her and Blitzo protects her while nearly dying in the process, but loses his job as a result of causing damages. Feeling bad for her rescuer and wanting to see her friend have a better life, Octavia proclaims Blitzo to be her knight. Which, as it turns out, is a custom that does still exist in today's modern world. Thus Blitzo, former one-imp showman, now must protect a young princess while adjusting to living in the noble life-style.
