In the Kingdom of Illydria, Gehann, a young bard in exile, finds herself dragged against her will into the political turmoils of the country. Amidst the threat posed by the mysterious cult of Ksume and by a potential military invasion by the Shelian Empire, she tries to start anew, to find a new chosen family, friends, and love. Elbereth is an Elf living in Mirkwood as part of King Thranduil's guard. Whilst fighting some giant spiders off in the forest, she runs into a company of 13 dwarves. However, one in particular catches her eye. She knows that her King would not allow her to fall for a dwarf and would banish her immediately. Will Elbereth betray her people and leave with the Company of Thorin Oakenshield or will she stay and lose all hope of ever loving someone again?

In this part of Shadows over Sigil, the Chosen undertake an expedition to the Spire, search for the mysterious Four Doors and attempt to help Factol Sarin with the first task assigned to him by his goddess.

The poem "Middle of Eternity" tells the story of a narrator's unrequited love for a classmate named Enzo. The narrator describes Enzo as being perfect in many ways, but also carrying a mysterious burden. The narrator struggles to confess their feelings to Enzo, and the opportunity finally arises on a rooftop. However, the poem takes a dramatic turn as the narrator witnesses Enzo make a dangerous decision. The poem explores themes of unrequited love, regret, and the weight of unspoken words. Inspired by my love of 'Arabian Nights' this tale is about an ancient bard on the way to meet his death. But first, he has one last tale to tell.

By day, Silvester Covington was the somewhat talented, often overlooked middle child of the noble House Covington. His older brother was trained in politics, and his older sister was taught how to manage the family business, while his younger siblings had no duty, other than learn how to be "proper". Silvester, on the other hand, had to pick up some form of hobby to get attention, and quickly became one of the greatest lute players in the town of Forest Point, and arguably, most of Aukeon. But being a "proper noble" isn't exactly something Silvester enjoyed, which led to him often sneaking out after the sun had set, under cloak and mask, to perform in taverns for his own enjoyment. Under the name "Dusk", Silvester found great joy in his nighttime ventures. After a tragedy strikes, however, he soon finds that juggling his personas may be more vital than ever if he wishes to solve the mystery behind his brothers death, and find the one who framed him for it.
