Over the past four years, the streets of London have run rampant with crime. To combat this darkness, Kazuma has disguised himself as The Warden-a mysterious swordsman who guards the streets without shedding blood. When those who have evaded justice suddenly begin to meet violent ends, terrible rumours erupt. Is the man responsible for these killings The Warden, too overburdened by the darkness around him to resist? Is it the ghost of Lord Stronghart? Or is it someone else entirely? Ryunosuke and Susato are desperate to uncover the truth and prove Kazuma's innocence. But their investigations may take a far more dangerous turn than anyone could have anticipated.

This is my first fanfiction. Two months after the events of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Ryunosuke Naruhodo receives a mysterious letter from Germany, signed only with the initials S.R. The message thanks him for uncovering the truth about Mael Stronghart-but offers no further explanation. Meanwhile, in London, Barok van Zieks and Kazuma Asogi are summoned to the prison for an unexpected meeting. Stronghart, awaiting execution, has requested to see them. With only hours left before his final breath, he delivers a chilling warning.

But when she earns unexpected attention from Lord van Zieks as Ryutaro, Susato soon finds herself entangled in a strange double life and a twisted web of deception, blossoming romance, and intense emotion. Ten years ago, a horrible beast took the life of Kazuma's father. When news reaches the Mikotoba family that the monster has once again stolen a life out in the British countryside, Susato joins Kazuma, her father, and their friend Ryunosuke on a long journey to investigate the disappearances. But Kazuma's desire for vengeance is enflamed by a local hunter who relentlessly seeks to slay the beast, and soon he is consumed by a new purpose: training to kill. As they settle warily into the village, Susato finds herself taking up a task that throws her into a strange manor surrounded by a permanent mist. And directly into the path of that same beast. Struck by the beast's haunted eyes, Susato's fear for her life begins to wither beneath a sense of compassion that will lead to a startling discovery. For the truth is not at all what it seems.
