It's tobacco cutting time again in the vast fields of Hudson County, Georgia, USA, and 14-yr-old Katie Morgan is sick of it. With burning temperatures, endless rows of tobacco just begging to be cut and high school just around the corner, her first term at Hudson County High School looks set to be more work than it's worth. Add to that a group of manipulative classmates leaving sarcastic and bullying notes in her locker, a quest to achieve Junior Miss Rodeo, and a lifelong best friend who's sworn to look after her no matter what, and you've got a a real mess. Jesse Chandler has known Katie practically since she was born, and when a group of classmates start to take 'a bit of teasing' too far, he fears he might just lose his best friend. But is it up to Jesse to reel Katie back from the edge, or does she have to look within herself to find the courage to make a stand?

When Dakota, a 17 year old Canadian girl, is at the Calgary Stampede for her 5th time, taking victory in the barrel racing event is a big achievement, after that victorious night, she meets the boy of her dreams, Travis, and 18 year old calf roper with mad skills.

When a big storm hits her town her life takes a turn for the worse. With her now ruined barrel racing career and blind sister can she fix up the old barn and find enough courage to race again.
