Everything that was once known now ceases to exist. There's a new normal, and it comes in the form of a deadly virus outbreak with no known cure. Barrett Weed is thirty years old after escaping New York City during the pandemic four years ago. Now a smuggler outside of Boston, she is called by her boss to deliver not something, but rather someone. In an unforeseeable, bitter trek to Salt Lake City, Barrett must protect twenty-five year old Nadine Powell, who has never seen any sort of life outside of Boston. With a war zone outside, they both have to figure out what is worth fighting for, especially when there's no one left to love.
