Note: This was a writing assignment that I had back in middle school. Just wanted to share it because I'm a little bored. If you haven't' read "All Summer in a Day" you should before you read this. Running a successful floral shop in town, everything seems to be going smoothly for the young woman as the days of summer draw to an end. But everything starts to take a drastic turn when Kore discovers what appears to be pomegranate seeds outside of her front door.

The second friend Patricia found a house on the beach. And the youngest friend Gertrude found a nice simple house with a tropical fruit tree in her yard and it grew the rarest fruit in the world. One day another guy named Mason got jealous of them because they a nicer home than him so he made a plan. Mason who dispised Gertrude and Patricia he burned their houses and the fruit on the tree was burned no beach was left but water. Aj who's home has a security shoot and he brought them to his house and activated the force field which made Mason mad he tried to burn the field and failed

In 8th grade English, one of the many things we learned was to test drive our characters by putting them in a "typical dinner at home" situation. Based on Mia, from my short story "Starved" this even shorter short story shows what Mia's home life is like. I wrote this story in one of my notebooks, so it isn't the best thing I've ever written, however I thought test driving was an interesting idea and wanted to write the story here.
