The story details the budding romance between Zuko and Zhen, who hails from a regal life of splendour much like Zuko's back in the Fire Nation. And much like his, there is dark unrest in her seemingly privileged life. The timeline is set during the Gaang's month-long misadventures in Ba Sing Se while waiting for the Earth King as Zuko and Iroh adjust to being refugees. Zutara Zuko is fed up with life. Having a father who is the United Nations most well known human trafficking pimp doesn't do a lot of good for his reputation. All he ever wanted since he was old enough to understand his father's business was to escape, leave, make a new name for himself. So the first chance he gets, he bolts to his Uncle's Upper Ring tea shop in Ba Sing Se. There Zuko meets a blue eyed mystery. The more Zuko gets to know her the more questions he has. She's unpredictable, surprising, and down right infuriating. She is an open book, but for Zuko to understand her language he will have to come to terms with his terrible past. **This is an Future avatar story! Meaning that the characters are older like in their 20s. There aren't enough ATL fics to begin with especially ones where they are older. So this is after the war! The battle against Kuvira has just ended and Wu has decided to get rid of the monarchy in the Earth Kingdom. He is travelling with Mako as his bodyguard to meet the new leaders of Ba Sing Se. But when they get lost with no way to reach the city except walking for weeks on end, Mako and Wu realise they might be feeling something more than friendship.

REWRITING: I noticed that I am very far off on facts and I want to recycle this story and make it better. I'll still be leaving this version up as far as I have it. Tenzin is a nervous loner living in the Southern Air Temple. With his father gone visiting the Northern Air Temple, his anxiety attacks are getting worse. Although his mentor and respective uncle Monk Kwan is watching over him, he is feeling the constant pressure to join the young airbenders to the Western and Eastern Air Temples for the Season, to court and legally bond with the females there. But how could he reproduce and risk passing down the same fate he has to a child? How could his timid personality ever attract a female airbender, especially with the limited experience he has associating with them? But his curiosity gets the better of him as he decides to go with the young airbenders, but only to meditate in the famous Meditation Circle at the Eastern Air Temple. When he accidentally disrupts a female airbender's traditional week-long meditation before her Anointment Ceremony, the last thing he expects is to make a friend. But the upbeat, cheerful, forgiving yet unforgiving young woman won't take a no to a game of airball for an answer. Will she still be able to accept him when he tells her what he is? No one else has, so how could she be any different? Is there a possibility of a real Air Nomadic life for him? This is my own idea of how Aang's parents met and their relationship, and the Air Nomad's traditional way of reproducing. If you had your own idea of how it should have been and you're upset about how mine is completely different, then I apologize but I'm excited to write my story. If, during the book you have any ideas or opinions you would like be to add, I'm completely open to them. Please don't take my ideas or my story.
