This story takes place in season 3 of LOK (legend of Korra) After harmonic convergence; Airbender's have been popping left, right and centre. Nolan had two Firebender's in his family as well as two non benders so there was no chance he could airbend. One random day, he discovers that he CAN air bend. Trying to Follow avatar Korra to become an air nomad he is met with serious decisions directing his adventure somewhere else. He was going to train in the air temples and become an air nomad and live in peace and prosperity. But what if he doesn't want that? What if he wants to get on dangerous adventures? Where ever his destiny takes him right? Even so, he has one clear plan and future. To be the greatest Airbender yet... this story is told from zuko's point of view and is packed with a lot of angst, so be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster. It's a detailed story with many chapters, each filled with intense moments and deep character development. despite sukka being in the tags, this is a zukka-focused story. sukka doesn't last long ofc. this story includes scenes of verbal and physical abuse inflicted on zuko by ozai. If you're uncomfortable with such themes, this might not be the right story for you. I write for myself, am always open to constructive criticism, and creds to dickpuncher for the cover. Iroh of the Fire Nation is a broken man. He failed to conquer Ba Sing Se, shamed his family and nation, and feels responsible for the death of his son. Iroh retreats to the Northern Water Tribe to live out the remainder of his life away from all who know him. Though Iroh has concluded he has nothing more to offer the world, destiny has other plans for the disgraced general... Poem inside is called Leaves From The Vine and not written by me. Only a portion of it is spoken on the television show so I had to look for a full version. There were several and I went for the one I felt best fit the story.
