It was never easy, being raised by a man who was 17 when I was born and forced into looking after me, especially not when he was in a band. I was always a burden, and then in 2013 after Bastille's first hit, Dad and I drifted further apart than ever before...

This is a coming-of-age story where Dan and his wife are forced to grow up quicker than other people their age, which already sucks. To make matters worse, they also have to confront and deal with many difficult challenges that life throws at them... After all, life was never meant to be simple.

Two years ago at a charity concert Bastille lead singer Dan Smith and events manager Phoebe Hawkes shared a short yet unforgettable kiss, before parting ways, knowing they would never see each other again. However a lot has changed since then. Phoebe is struggling with a long-term relationship break up and her once perfect career is in tatters. Whereas Dan, whom is heartbroken and desperate after seeing his bandmates develop relationships without him, finds himself stuck in the middle of a court case which is forcing him to choose between his family or his friends. When by chance they are brought back together again will they be able to re-kindle their forgotten kiss, or will their personal demons and problems obliterate their chance before they take it.

20 year old Sophia was growing sick of her 9-5 job in a call center, the same routine, same people and same sights every single day. So when offered a job touring with her cousins friend band selling merch she jumped at the opportunity. How hard could it be exactly? Touring with a band, selling some merch and the added bonus of free travel around the world. But whilst on tour she grows incredibly close to the band, but will previous experiences prevent her from being her true self around the boys?

Bastille are old news. Times change and the four grew old, settled down and had families of their own. But this story is about the children of Bastille, and how they created a band of their own... While individually going through their own problems.

Dan is playing a superhero for a new movie. It might come to a shock to the system for old Bastille fans, but he's genuinely happy acting instead of singing. Everyone wishes him well...except for the ones who don't. They're people who think the worst of him because of a past tragedy. After all, the man with many talents, is very familiar with heroes and villains in his own life. This superhero flick called 'Illusion' suits Dan better than his characters suit!

3 AM. The demon hour. The challenge? Bastille is to survive from 9 PM all the way to 7 AM. What could possibly go wrong in an abandoned house that's supposedly inhabited by the Flaming Skull? Dan and Zadie were once thought to be the 'perfect' couple. They were pretty much inseparable...or so Dan thinks at the start of the novel. But things turn from sweet to bittersweet within a short period of time...especially when Zadie is found dead by Dan just after her hen weekend. After her murder, it's up to Dan to solve her death himself, along with a beautiful detective. As he falls down the dark wormhole of the investigation he uncovers some terrible home truths about his bride-to-be. Through Zadie's webbed lies and frequent disappearances, he realises that his fiancée wasn't the perfect person he made her out to be, which destroys him more. What happens when Dan realises that his relationship was built on a lie and that his 'one true love' never loved him back? ( A collaboration by @goodgriefbastille + me )
