Allison was enjoying her time at Joey Drew Studios. She loved her job, her coworkers were fun to be around, and Susie was starting to warm up to her. All in all, life at the studio seemed perfect. However, sometimes things aren't what they seem. The success of Joey Drew Studios was built on a foundation of lies and broken promises. The company's namesake, Joey Drew, is an egotist with dark secrets. The Gent Corporation is conducting strange experiments with the ink. Its CEO, Alan Gray, has unknown motives involving the Ink Machine. There are many secrets hidden within the studio. Secrets that threaten to shatter its cheery illusion. And one of them involves a former employee named Hailey Stein.

A new problem is introduced as the cartoons' home is whisked away from them, forcing them to take shelter in the outside world. It doesn't help that the ink machine is missing, and two boys have bad intentions for it's usage. The cartoons really have no choice but to raise a group of people to take them down, in order to prevent them from taking control of the city, and possibly the rest of the world along with it. - Hi! This is my BATIM fanfic. It's kind of an AU in a way, so if things don't make sense relating to the original that is the reason. Elizabeth is a 17 year old girl who's dream is to be a reporter someday for the daily news. When she's hit with that exact opportunity she immediately takes it, It's simple, all she has to do to get the job is to do a report on something that nobody else before her has done. At first she doesn't know what to do her report on, but when she learns of the mysterious disappearance of an animator from Joey drew studios she see's this as her opportunity. Now on this mission of finding the lost animator her first source of his disappearance is a company called Gent. Everything seems to be going well Gents okay with the questioning, Elizabeth is starting to get details on the animator but then an accident happens when she finds a mysterious device called "the ink machine" next thing she knows she's in a version of Joey drew studios were she meets a new "Friend" claiming to want to help her escape the studio but somethings just off about everything. Now she's on a journey to escape the sick, twisted version of the studio.

"Don't worry, Buddy. I'm going to find you. I'm going to put a stop to this. I'm going to save you. It'll all be ok soon, I love you. I'm happy to see you soon." ☆ Dorothy Miller sets out to find her old friend, but ends up discovering the darker depths of Joey Drew Studios and decides to dive deeper to find her friend, and to end the cycle imprisoning the studio's old employees.

In dark times there's always hope. But, the light cannot be found this time. But that might change when a little devil comes from the shadows. A familiar one....

The cover was made by my best friend. Background lore before reading: Y/N used to always visit the studio with their best friend Audrey Drew, the two of them were inseparable. At least... that's what they thought... the two friends had to be separated due to Y/N's father going missing, and with no other living relatives and Joey now wanting to adopt another kid Y/N had been left to the orphanage where they forgot about their childhood friend. Years later when Y/N was hired as an animator they were shocked to see their old friend being whisked away by a creepy old man. Jumping into the ink is where their story begins.
