A Scottish battalion is being trained to go to France to fight in World War I

Terrorism has plagued countries around the world, causing fear, destruction, and loss of lives. Sri Lanka, a small island nation in South Asia, has had its own share of experiences with terrorism. The country faced a brutal and prolonged conflict with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a militant group seeking an independent state for the Tamil minority in the Northern and Eastern provinces of Sri Lanka. The LTTE's use of suicide bombings, assassinations, and guerrilla warfare tactics made them a formidable enemy for the Sri Lankan government.

World is a planet, set billions of years in the future and the humans, who suffered a Great War, are not as advanced as the present. In fact, they've been there so long, Earth is a myth! World is dotted with random landscapes and biomes, it's not even funny. There are two groups of people in World: The Regime and the Battalion. The Regime consider themselves as the leaders of World and the Battalion are the only ones there to make sure the Regime doesn't take over World and kill off innocents. A group of friends, who live in a treehouse, using black markets instead of a Regime stores and creating illegal objects, are forced to join the Battalion after the Regime declares a full scale war. There's only one problem: Nobody knows who works for who.
