In Gotham, there was a rumor. A rumor, saying that the Bat was the coalescence of their sins, come to punish them (they said that, due to the Batman being formed of their sins, it could not kill them, lest it be weakened). The Bat was formed of the night, and the lines between it and the night blurred, to the point that it became all but invisible in the shadows, only able to be seen by the glow of its eyes, or a shadow blotting out the little light of the moon as it flew in the skies, surveying its territory. The Bat was eldritch, a myth, a tale told to children to frighten them into behaving. 'Be good, and the Batman won't snatch you away to join its brood'. By day, a ditzy socialite, CEO of Wayne Industries, by night, a vengeful shadow in the dark, punishing criminals and doling out justice, the Bat was real.

This is a collection of one-shot stories all surrounding moments of the WIU stories that were never shown in the main continuity. They can either be moments that happened from before the events of the stories, moments that happened during the continuity, or even a moment that took place after completion.

None of the stories written are actually a part of the DC storyline. They're purely a figment of my imagination, because who doesn't want to read more about Terry McGinnis? The book will be a collection of different stories, with each chapter mimicking a new episode, and continues from where Batman Beyond left off in the third season. It will bring in characters from the rest of the DC universe, but will encounter villains who Terry may have not in the show, with new ideas and plots. If you are also a Batman Beyond fanatic and think it ended far too abruptly, keep reading, and I hope I can do it justice. Enjoy ;)

A demon and a so called 'replacement' get closer, to the point it's like they are real brothers.
