This story is a historical fiction about King Ludwig the Second of Bavaria A.K.A the Mad King.

A girl wakes up alone in a deserted city. She miraculously survived a three story fall and is prepared to face whatever is coming her way. But she doesn't know that it's a horde of zombies and a group of crazy survivors that she leads through the end of the world. This is a story I started on Fanfiction.net so it's possible that I'll accidentally leave author notes here and there. Also there's about three chapters from fanfiction in every one chapter here... The humble emperor turned evil and that's when the peaceful and serene place turned into chaos. After a year and three months of preparing his army, the emperor started his conquest to other lands. He played with life and didn't care about importance of it. He laid with woman slaves, and kill them afterwards, not if they are lucky. After 5 consecutive months of conquering lands without delay, he reached Bavaria where it is suspected to be the land where his wife's killer came from and he swipe the life off the place but one lucky girl survived and her name is Alexis. . . . . . . . . . . . . "If I am that good of a person, I wouldn't have chosen this path of becoming evil. This just showed that I am evil at heart. I have done more evil than good. And I have done it for only 2 years." Nero huffed in annoyance to the young girl that insisted that he is her savior and he is a good person. Nero pointed the door of his room commanding the girl to get out. "Yes, you became evil but you are not evil." Alexis frowned and started her way out but only to be pushed back against the wall shocked at the sudden movement. She froze with a confused look as Nero searches her face and smirked, his face getting closer as his lips reached for Alexis's ear and he whispered huskily sending shivers to the young girl . . . "I never knew someone could irritate and amuse me at the same time." This a intro. into the book Bavaria: City of Secrets. It is about 11 friends/enemy's whose lives are intertwine in some way. The main character is Jackie who is connected to everyone. Along with her best friends Alexia (who is dating Xavier), Tatyana (who is hiding her own secret), Roswell (who tells it like it is), Belinda (steals Demetri), and Liliana (the bossy one) form a tight group. Jackie's cousin Xavier (who holds a candle for Jackie) is friends with Demetri (who cheated on Jackie), Joseph (the youngest), Mony (the bad boy), and Trevon (Joseph's cousin). There are also new character's along the way like Noah the new guy in town. The story starts off with Jackie, and Demetri's wedding.

This is my second short story for the National Geographic #PlanetOrPlastic writing contest. I trimmed over one hundred words to keep it below the 500 word limit, but all in the name of environmental awareness! My story takes place in a post-apocalyptic future, where the ocean has retaliated against humans by flooding the planet, leaving few survivors. A young girl named Willa has spent her entire life inside a historic castle in Germany, where her great-grandfather worked as curator before the flooding began.
