You've heard of it haven't you? We all have, The Legend of Sparda. Long ago, in ancient times, a demon rebelled against his own kind for the sake of the human race. With his sword, he shut the portal to the demonic realm and sealed the evil entities off from our human world. But since he was a demon himself, his power was also trapped on the other side. What many din't known was that sparda had fell in love with a human woman and birthed two children, the eldest. Who in the future would walk a dark path and be know as the dark slayer. The Alpha And Omega, Vergil. and the youngest, who in the future would continue his father's legacy in protecting the human world from the demons of the underworld, and be known as The Legendary Devil Hunter, Dante. Another legend i'm sure you know. The overseer clans. The umbra witches, who would practice the dark arts, and allign themselves with the demons of inferno, a place that's believed to be the first and true underworld, the same one sparda came from. And the lumen sages,who would practice the light arts and allign themselves with the angels of paradiso, who is believe to be the first and true heaven. The two clans lived in peace, a balance of light and darkness, until one day. The witch hunts began, a battle between light and darkness. In the end there was no victor. The umbra and the lumen finished each other off. And their history, deleted from the records of time. But like the legend of sparda there is something not many know, the reason of the witch hunts, a sage and a witch fell in love and conceided a child, breaking an ancient oath, the child would be a pariah to the witches, and then sealed during the hunts. Only to awaken 500 years later. How do i know all of this? Well, that's simple. I'm the son of the devil hunter and the witch. My name is Luciel sparda. And like those before me, i will make my own legend. JACKPOT!

Carmilla is the devoted sister who shared her childhood closely with Bayonetta, Cereza. From their earliest days, the two girls remained side by side, even as their mother, Rosa, was imprisoned behind bars. Their bond was unbreakable as they stayed by their mother's side, united in love and resilience. However, their peaceful childhood was shattered when humans launched a devastating attack, igniting a brutal war between the Lumen Sages and the Umbra Witches. In the chaos, their mother Rosa was tragically killed, leaving Carmilla and Bayonetta heartbroken and grieving. The sisters were then separated. Carmilla was taken in and raised by their father, Balder, alongside Jeanne, growing up under his watchful eye. Meanwhile, Bayonetta was trapped in a coffin for 500 years, only to be awakened centuries later by an unknown savior. Despite the separation and the hardships, Carmilla never gave up hope. Whenever Balder was absent, she tirelessly searched for her lost sister, driven by an unyielding determination to reunite and protect the family they once had.

This story is about the Umbra Witch Elder and current possessor of the Left Eye, named Isabelle and her reign over her clan. Accompanied by her escort, Rosa, the two of them go on a series of meetings with the leader of the Lumen Sages and inherent of the Right Eye, Father Balder. Enshrouded in mystery, Father Balder took a slight interest in Rosa. From here began the slow decent of the clans all because two people broke the rules and fell in love. *Characters used are owned by game developer Platinum Star from their video game series Bayonetta *The story is an attempt to coincide with already established Bayonetta's cannon story and lore *This story takes place prior to the events of the Clan Wars, in Europe *"Moon River" is a song composed by Johnny Mercer (lyrics) and Henry Mancini (music) in 1961. It was originally sung in the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Audrey Hepburn.

Demons are spirits of unspeakable evil. Left to fester and indulge in sin, Hell has become a gallery of atrocities created by both the demons and humans that inhabit it. One shudders to imagine themselves being tortured for eternity at the hands of monsters, but in this compendium of demons, you'll get a peek into what the wasteland of flames and tortured souls really has to offer. This is a sequel of sorts to the Sanctum Compendium. This time, instead of angels, it's my Bayonetta-style demons that are the focus. Be aware that there will be some overlap with the demons in my story, "Songs of Innocence", but it's not too confusing. Just know that the demons in that story share the same designs, names, and sometimes personalities of the demons in this "story", but they aren't the exact same characters. In that story, just detach the backstories I give them from their characters, and you'll be fine. Also, there will be mentions of the Bayonetta series' characters, locations and concepts, as well as even some Bayonetta OCs I've made, and that's because all of these demons are for my Bayonetta fanfic. Just keep that in mind as well. Enjoy this further look into my madness!
