Lee Joon-ho needs a job that pays enough to cover his sister's hospital bills, and fast. The listing seems almost insulting in how much it offers for "personal secretary, flexible hours, immediate start." He doesn't ask why the position has been empty three times this year. He doesn't ask why the interview takes place in a penthouse instead of an office. He doesn't ask why the man interviewing him watches him like he's deciding whether to keep him or have him disappeared. Kang Tae-hyun inherited two things when his father died: the Kang Group, and the blood that runs underneath it. He didn't choose this life. He simply stopped pretending he could refuse it. The last secretary lasted four days before he begged to be reassigned to a different city. Tae-hyun doesn't expect Joon-ho "I've loved you since the restaurant, when you checked my pulse instead of asking if I'd hurt anyone."
