Looking back on it, Jimmy blames the garden for everything that's happened. After all, that's where he found the box, which led to Deepfrost, which led to this whole spiral of backsliding further and further away from the warmth of life. It had all started simply enough- with a dungeon, and with a goal- and had, over time, meandered into a world of beasts and bosses and dangers that Jimmy never had fully been able to grasp until it was too late, until he learned what Deepfrost REALLY was. But, that's a little too close to the end of the story. Let's rewind things back to the start, back to the beginning of the game known as Deepfrost. Let's talk about the first runs, the first deadly encounters, the first small victories. Or . . . perhaps you should be left to discover that on your own. After all, Deepfrost is a game that prides itself in its own immersive experience . . . in more ways than one. --- Deepfrost is an AU that is a crossover of the games Inscryption (by Daniel Mullins) and Decked Out 2 (by Tango Tek). You don't need to know anything about either of these to enjoy this story. If you don't want spoilers for the level design of Decked Out 2 or the layout of Act 2 and some of the overarching lore of Inscryption, I would consider not reading this fic, or at least leaving it for later :]

From a Watcher Talon to a Herobrine Talon, the possibilities are endless, but danger is out there for them. Controlling there Talon forms would be the main problem, as all Talon have one, alongside small wings, in there normal forms.

Why did the title change to elipses what

Etho is a survivor. It's something we all know. He lives for himself and no one else. I thought I could prove it wrong. I thought he loved me and he'd do anything for me. I thought he could make a exception from his survivability rules for me. It turns out he couldn't, and now here I am, pretending I don't care that he won't give me a life even though he has some to spare. Instead, he split our base with fences and forbid me from crossing to his side. It isn't fair. Etho takes but doesn't give. He says he cares about me, but then he backs away when helping me risks his own safety. Maybe I should've killed him when I was under the Curse instead of sparing him. Maybe then I wouldn't be stuck as a Red, scorned and looked down apon by everyone. Maybe I shouldn't have fallen in love with him in the first place. ::..:..:: In other words, all Bdubs wants is a life from Etho but Etho has a habit of keeping them to himself. (aka I saw Etho didn't give a life to anyone during Last Life (ignoring You Bet Your Life) and went 'hmm I can do something with this') Installation 5 of the Foxlore Collection. This fic can be read on its own, but I'd recommend reading the sequel, Cold, Sleepless Nights, afterwards :D
