Jake, a young boy , aged 14 finds himself in between his mom and step dad. He doesn't like Lorence (his new dad) at all he misses his real one but shakes it off by saying stuff like Lorence is nice and rich so it's fine. His dad had died when he was younger so he struggles to express kindness or affection like he used to. Will that ever change? He's currently on a trip to Hawaii which his step dad had payed for. He says the place is nice and all but he could've picked a better time to have a vacation, instead of in a middle of a school year. There this girl who's always by the sea which he thinks is weird because she never does anything energetic even though she looks around his age. On a random day his mom pulls his last straw and he sneaks out of the house and to the beach. He throws a can into the sand. Never cared about rubbish really. Then he makes a cruel joke about 'suicidal turtles'. Suddenly, he hears a voice behind him and turns. It's the girl, the girl who's usually by the sea but she doesn't seem too happy. But he just can't help but feel a strong pull to her. My first story ever so please read!!! I promise it's good xx I'm going to continue making other parts of it soon.
