1980's bad boy beating boys Adam Yauch meets his future high school sweetheart in detention. after they meets they soon become close friends, after being invited to a beastie boys concert Adam invites you back home afterwards where you two connect on a deeper level. After they get married it seems like life couldn't get any worse...or could it ,during this battle of losing her job and Adam being diagnosed with cancer and being dropped from a newly signed record deal they face the troubles of life together.

The year is 1987. Valerie Blackwell is fresh out of college and just got a position as a music journalist for Blaze, the hottest music publication in NYC. She's stoked to get even more involved in the industry, being a huge music fan herself, but things quickly change when her first assignment is to interview the Beastie Boys. Valerie and Adam Yauch immediately begin making eyes at each other but will their respective professions prevent them from making a connection that lasts?
