Leaving the room and, for what seemed like forever, seeing his parent again, treating him like he was a child again, which... made sense given his current predicament, Subaru felt disturbed, afraid, and worst of all. Hopeless. His friends, his companions, his little spirit. His beloved Emilia. All gone. For weeks, he thought this was it, all gone away; his memories began getting blurry, his new childish body and mind unable to comprehend all that happened after he was transported to the other world. He had only been able to catch a glimpse of her lustrous golden hair and the color of her outfit. It was pure white. TLDR: Re: Forgotten but if Subaru had been transformed by Capella and was kidnapped by Regulus, soon to make her his wife. "Unexpectedly," he was able to reunite with Emilia, and it would be understandable of her to not recognize him at first, but... for her to not know of who Natsuki Subaru was like she had struck him on the head with a spiked bat over and over again.

In place of her knight, Emilia finds a little brother she would grow to love, tease and protect instead.
