The coronavirus as you may know is a global pandemic that started in Wuhan, China and spread to the globe, much of it occuring in February and March 2020. Now there are few countries that are Corona-Free (like Lesotho and Johannesburg in Africa at the time of the creation of this book, it may have spread there in the time you are reading this) and I have no school until at least the end of April, but biased on it spreading at what feels to be the speed of light, it could be canceled to the last day of school and we have a Super long summer. The only benefit of it is I don't have to go to school but the rest of the benefits are highly negatively impacting my life. PLUS we have schoolwork mailed home. So not what I was thinking. The UPMC in my area MAY, only may, have found the cure for this depending-on age group and medical conditions not-so-bad (like a cold or flu, or even little to no symptoms) to depending on if you have medical conditions or are old, lethal, disease. They say it is a disease but that is because it is a pandemic. If it didn't go around too much then it would only be COVI-19 (D stands for Disease). It spread to my state first on March 6th, 2020, and in the day shy of a month it has blown up from 0 to 11,507 cases

I wrote this short story after seeing an article on the news of a Syrian boy in an ambulance. His hair seemed to be coated with blood and he sat silently, probably in shock as he waited for paramedics to help him. This story is meant to raise awareness of the wars that have been raging for years in Syria and other countries. Remind people of the humanity, or rather the lack of it, in war. When refugees are denied a place to flee they are forced to remain in the battleground they once called home and see everything they used to love so dearly destroyed, turned into a "casualty of war". To remind people that just because it isn't happening here, doesn't mean it isn't happening. We constantly see stories like this on the news, but then again, what do we do about it? Give likes on a picture to demonstrate... what?
