When they get there, they find that their parents are gone. At first, everyone is excited about their newfound freedom...but it becomes dangerous very fast. Democracy starts to rise, and with it comes a whole lot of chaos. But, as his fingers begin to move along her wrist as if he's trying to make sure she's still there, something inside of Allie softens. He's a kid, too, barely older than her. Maia Cardoso has lived in Quixadá, Brazil, her whole life. She graduated early, at the top of her class, and many out of country colleges had given her scholarships, but she refused each of them, wanting to stay with her family. But one day her city is flooded after a freak hurricane, and she has no choice but to accept a scholarship to Yale University in order to have a place to live. She registers as an exchange student and moves in with her exchange family in a small town called West Ham, but soon she will realize that there are some very strange things happening in her new home. -In this story Grizz is bi, if you don't like it, deal.- -Don't worry, Sam won't be alone. What if the busses never endet up in some alternate universe? If the school trip went as it should? How is the life of Grizz Visser and his friends at West Ham Highschool? Basically 'The Society' but without the weird stuff. The story is kind of based on my other Story 'New World' but you don't need to read it before reading this one! :) I do not own most of the characters.

The horrendous smell plaguing West Ham High, sends the teenagers on a camping trip which is inadvertently cancelled due to the weather. Upon their return home, they quickly come to realize that all of the adults are gone.
