They also find out that once their mother decides to tell them, their powers come alive and are to be the next heirs of Hell to be the new devils, Amy clearly wants the throne, but Samey has no interest in using her powers.

In this world, different is scary. In this world we shun the different and stay with the "normal" . In this world, different is scary. What if you were so different you were locked up, beaten, humiliated, tortured and unloved. And what if, it's not your fault. You see, I am bedeviled, it's like cursed but way worse. The people who call us this believe that cursed, was all too nice of a way to put it. When you are born, if there is a mark on your heart if you are cursed. Slowly over time the mark grows like a vine all over your body. The color of the marks prove who you are and what you can do. My parents believe that I was not a demon and attempted to hide me for as long as they could, they named me Journee, because I was sure to have an adventurous one.
