In a small classroom, there were many school items-books, bags, erasers, and pencils. Among them was a small pencil named Piku. Piku was not very big or colorful. Some pencils were shiny, some had cartoons on them. But Piku was simple. One day, the teacher gave a drawing competition. All the students started drawing beautiful pictures. Color pencils, sketch pens, and fancy items were used everywhere. Piku felt a little sad. "I am just a small pencil... how can I make something beautiful?" he thought. But his owner, a small boy named Raju, picked Piku and said, "Don't worry, you are enough." Piku felt happy. Raju started drawing slowly. A house... a tree... a smiling sun. Piku worked hard. Even when his tip became small, he didn't stop. Meanwhile, a shiny pen nearby laughed. "Look at you! You are so small and old. You can't win," it said. Piku stayed silent and continued working. After some time, the drawings were collected. The teacher looked at all of them carefully. Then she smiled and said, "The winner is... Raju!" Everyone was surprised. Raju's drawing was simple-but full of heart. The teacher said, "This drawing shows effort and honesty." Piku felt proud. He was not the most colorful... But he was the most truthful. Moral You don't need to be perfect to do something great. Honesty and effort are enough. Written by: Venkata Ramakrishna

Short Stories for Cloudy Days is a heartwarming collection of short stories filled with tenderness, hope, sacrifice, friendship, and life lessons. Each story follows a simple character - a small flute, an old fan, a forgotten baseball, a loyal dog, a brave little seed, or a generous cloud - and turns its journey into a meaningful lesson about love, kindness, courage, gratitude, and the value hidden inside every being. These stories are written for children, families, and anyone who enjoys emotional tales with a gentle message. Through simple language and touching moments, the collection reminds readers that even the smallest things can make a big difference, that true worth is not always visible at first, and that love often appears in quiet acts of sacrifice. Tender, nostalgic, and full of hope, these stories are perfect for reading on quiet afternoons, rainy nights, or cloudy days when the heart needs a little light.

Angel had always known that tunnels weren't just for digging. Some were for remembering. It had been a season since the last adventure-a season of laundry spells, snack negotiations, and quiet moments where the wind carried whispers of someone dearly missed. But Angel's whiskers twitched with certainty: the tunnel was back. And this time, it wasn't just about treats. It was about loyalty. About echoes. About finding something lost-not just in the earth, but in the heart. With Sebastian clutching his emergency snack pouch and Boots adjusting his sprinkle satchel, the trio stood at the edge of the shimmer. The tunnel pulsed gently, like it were waiting for them to remember the way. Angel stepped forward first, as always. Because some journeys begin with a pawprint-and a promise.

Bart is a bear on a mission: to find his person. From delivery trucks and fireworks to early mornings that feel heavier than nights, Bart travels quietly into the life of a 25-year-old woman learning how to grieve, love, and rest without guilt. Along the way, he discovers that adventures don't always look like movement. Sometimes they are stillness, tears held without explanation, and choosing softness in a world that rarely allows it. Each story is a gentle lesson, told the way children's books once were: through warmth, repetition, and safety. These are stories about learning when to hold on, when to step away, and how to ask for comfort as an adult: even when you were taught not to need it. A collection about soft things, big feelings, and a grown woman who remembers how to be little again.
