Lydia Deetz has always had psychic abilities, she could see what often goes unseen. What happens when she passes it down to her two daughters, Avery and Astrid? While one wants nothing to do with the paranormal, the other absolutely lives for it. But want will happen when she suddenly takes a vacation to her mom's hometown only to come across a spirit and accidentally fall for him?

This is a slight rewrite/retelling of my old Beetlejuice fic "Being Dead Doesn't Sound So Bad"! Y/n has been babysitting Lydia since she was ten and Y/n was 17. The two are close friends and Y/n has been there for Lydia no matter what. Y/n was there when Lydia started middle school and high school, when she was sick, and when her mother passed away. It was hard for Lydia, but Y/n was there for her no matter the time or cause. A month after the funeral of Lydia's mother, Charles and Lydia Deetz moved out of their old house and into a new one. Charles asks if Y/n can watch Lydia for a week. Y/n of course says yes, but some strange things happen in the new house while he's gone. Y/n meets a few people and maybe a certain strange and slightly perverted ghost...?
