The story of Betelgeuse and his newly adopted son continues. The two's relationship is just becoming stronger. Even though he now has a kid, something is lacking from the afterlife of the Ghost with the Most. A particular family. The Maitlands, on the other hand, aren't alive? He didn't leave them like that. When he arrives with a child, he has some explaining to do himself. The Maitlands and Deetzes realise similarities between the two new guests, leading to a big discovery and more than a few surprises. Somehow, he ends up in a foster home where one HATED schizophrenic trans male foster child can see him and he saves him. After an incident with the demon, his mental health really depreciates, and unpleasant memories come flooding back. After some persuasion, Betelgeuse finally speaks up about his past.
