Also, the first part of this story takes place in the early 1800's, while the latter part takes place in modern times (to find out why you should read it lol :p). Due to this, I have done extensive research to make the times as accurate as possible. With that having been said, the only inaccuracy that I can think of is the fact that the school of Juilliard (lol yup you heard that right ;p) wasn't founded until 1905. But for the sake of my timeline and laziness, we're gonna pretend it was around in 1810, okay? Okay thanks. The Beetlejuice in this fic is based on the one in the musical, not the movie or show. It's been about a year and a half since Beetlejuice left the Deetz-Maitlands- and quite theatrically. Life is safer, and much calmer- but it's clear that it's gotten bland and boring. And what are the chances a gothy teen feels a little lonely? This is a bit of a slow meet to the characters, but the gist is Beetlejuice comes back, and he finds a starving girl on the streets (Wow, it's you, with the sob story! Who would've guessed??) and brings you to the Maitlands in a wave of consideration and your life takes off from there. (And yeah, the story mainly centers on softening our ghost with the most. PS, hope you don't mind being someone who identifies with she/they pronouns, and has the structure of a female!)
