Chapter 1: The Reflection Stared Back I used to love my reflection. Now, it's a stranger. A stranger with tired eyes and a body that feels foreign. I avoid mirrors, but today, the gym's full-length one is unavoidable. A wave of shame washes over me as I see myself. I'm here to change, to fight back against the extra weight that's become a burden. But doubt whispers in my ear, telling me I'll fail. I push the negativity aside. This is day one. Day one of taking control. I start with the treadmill, my legs heavy at first, but slowly finding a rhythm. Sweat stings my eyes, but I don't stop. I won't stop. The gym's energy is infectious. People of all shapes and sizes, working towards their goals. I'm not alone in this fight. As I finish, I catch my reflection again.
