The screen of my analog clock read 11:58. The dull, fluorescent green the only light cast around my room. It radiated an eerie glow, every shadow and dark shape twisted into something beyond my own recognition. "I'll go with you. Just, please, let me have a minute." "Lynnwood. We don't have a minute." The time was close. I looked around, needing an escape route. My eyes found the window, it would have to do. I grabbed the window ledge, angling my foot on the sill. I had one minute. One minute before I was forgotten forever. One minute before fate repeats itself yet again One minute before everyone would be consigned to oblivion. One minute before I inescapably made the biggest and worst decision of my life. And that decision, was to run. Adrian Lynnwood isn't your normal teenager.
