Poetry about adversity in spirituality

(IMPORTANT: The fist line is about how I listen to metal and most to all people in Belgium listen to rap these days) I wrote this poem thinking about how much I get critisized for being a little bit different and just overall not a sheep like all normal people these days, just follow all trends just so they'd fit in. I know it doesn't really rhyme but I thought it was good enough.

"I want a chance! I want to be noticed! I don't want to be a shadow!" "Don't ya know? Even shadows change when the light comes." Sitting alone with a book is fun. Sitting alone at a party isn't. I just want to be noticed. Not her! Why her?! She did nothing special! Why can't I do that!
