Cleo struggles with her long distance relationship with Lewis and feels that they're drifting apart and that maybe he's moving on, leaving her behind. Rikki finds herself in a situation, confused about her returning feelings for Zane and her growing affections for the new guy, who starts to get suspicious of her secret. Bella starts to feel left out of the now group of four mermaids, trying to wrap her head around the fact that Cleo and Rikki never mentioned Emma to her. As their friend groups starts to fall apart, they find themselves changing, developing new powers and tail colors. And on top of that, some of their families are getting closer and closer to discovering their secret. Will the group completely fall apart, or will the changes make them stronger?

Okay, so this is a self insert one-shot, friendship...thing, whoop. Additionally, I know you guys have biases for the girls so I created four different one shots where you're brought into the friend group by either Rikki, Cleo, Emma, or Bella; your pick and the stories will continue from there along with different backstories for each self-insert scenario. Also, fun fact, I will be filling some of this writing with my head cannons because it makes writing it way more fun!
