Most children chose to go back home, and were allowed to because they weren't the one that the all-powerful Peter Pan was looking for. But when Emilia came, he convinced her to stay on the island with him. When Emma and the rest of the gang from Storybrooke showed up in search of Henry, they stumbled upon Emilia at Pan's camp. When they found out who she was, they decided to do what they thought was right, and take her back to her mother.
