Belly is a 16 year old sophomore in high school. She has huge crush on her best friends brother Conrad Her best friend Jeremiah and his overly gorgeous brother Conrad. She knew she was a terrible person for liking him, but there wasn't really anything she could do now. Conrad was a junior, he is popular very tall and overall a cool person. He has always seen Belly as Jeremiah's annoying little friend. But as summer comes to an end things are just different.

Belly and Jeremiah didn't get married. Conrad never told Belly that he still loved her. It's been four years and Conrad finally comes home from California to spend his last 'free' summer in Cousins before his residency. Belly graduated two years ago and works at a publishing house in New York. She still doesn't speak with either of the Fisher boys but she's spent every summer since her ill fated wedding at Cousins. What happens when they meet for the first time in years in the place they fell in love? What happens when Belly finally sees the damage she's done to him? What happens when Conrad finally decides to stop running?

Takes place in a different universe in which, Cousins isn't the safe place that it looks like. Never go out at night, unless you want to end up in the morning paper. Crime was high but you wouldn't know that from how normal it looks like during the day. There were hidden groups, bad gangs, and the agents that tried to stop them. It was supposed to be a normal summer for Belly, only the daytime parts of Cousins. That is until she finds out, not everything is as it seems.
