This piece isn't fiction, though it speaks in the voice of story. It's a remembrance - for a people, a language, and a landscape that survived centuries of conquest and silence. My bloodline traces through those hills and borders, through families who lost their homes, their words, and their songs - yet somehow kept the flame alive. Celtic culture has too often been turned into costume, myth into merchandise. This writing is my way of giving it back its heartbeat. Every name, every god, every season we once marked with fire still belongs to us. May this be read not as bitterness, but as love - fierce, remembering love. For those who were silenced, and for those still learning to speak again. We are not relics. We are flame. And the flame still speaks our names.

Olivia is a vampire on a mission. She's determined to launch a preemptive strike on the mysterious person hiding behind a game avatar. Story #5 in the Ghostnet series. Follows Puzzle in Pink. Ghostnet is a series of contemporary urban fantasies where witches, vampires, and werewolves coexist peacefully with humans by hiding in plain sight. Creatures used to rely on lore passed down through families, but a few flagrant cases revealed how vulnerable their community is to exposure. To connect with each other, they rely on Ghostnet, a dark network set up by creatures at MIT in the 1970s. The stories are set in the fictitious town of Drexford near Boston, Massachusetts. More background information is on the Ghostnet page of the blog I co-write with Penna Nomen. The link is in my profile.

In an age before history, when gods still walked the earth and the land remembered their names... The ancient world fractures under climate collapse, war, and the fall of kingdoms. The People of Danu-called the Danann-are driven into exile. Once masters of knowledge, craft, and the skies, their civilization is hunted, feared, and nearly extinguished. Their homeland, a chain of islands in the great ocean near the inland sea, is struck by a comet sent by their Goddess, Danu, and swallowed beneath the waves. The survivors escape in airships, seeking refuge on the northern island called Éire. There, the White Horse Oracle foretells their arrival: they come in peace, yet conflict is probable. Indeed, war does break out, and from its ashes the Danann rise to power across the land. The White Horse Oracle is a sweeping mythological fantasy of exile, invasion, and memory-where legends are not born of heroism, but of survival.

Beltane Sun Light of the Sun warms the earth Quickening the pulse of the land. The sleeping giant rises, To answer the call of the king. And i saw the May with its myriad lights & plants. I saw leaves as they are wont to sprout I saw branches equally laden with flowers. I saw the attributes of a most generous king. And i saw the Lady smile, as she passed by she said; "Mine are the riches of the land of Albion." Her bounty, Her kindliness, Her cloth, And mine their victals. So let us toast the land beneath this Beltane Sun.
