The Wise Old Elf was the highest ranking elf in the kingdom. He was respected by all the other elves. In fact, he was respected by almost everyone, including non-elves who weren't higher than him. He was near-divine to these elves, yet he felt there was a hole in his life. A hole in his heart. He needed that special someone, who loved him for him, not his creations or places he runs. Someone to tell him he was special. Someone who really cared. Here's what happens when two lonely little people set aside their differences and meet the real other.
