A maintenance crew assigned to repair the foundations of an old museum in Amsterdam claim there is something in one of the tunnels below. Such superstitious nonsense! One brave worker decides to enter the tunnel, to show everyone that there is nothing in the dark... is there?

Chhaya (The Dancing Girl) A spirited ten-year-old who dances at traffic signals for coins. Her innocence and determination to bring joy despite her poverty form the heart of the novel. Raghav Kapoor (Supporting Character) A wealthy businessman who unwittingly becomes a bridge between Aryan and the people he seeks to help.
