Traumatized by a house fire that left both her mother and sister dead, she must fight through her past that occurred 12 years ago to live her dream of being a firefighter. Saving lives of people just like her mom and sister has been her dream since that occurrence when she was just eleven years old. All while getting to know her peers at Station 19, will she survive and live her dream as a firefighter and life saver? Will she be able to stand the pressure as the new rookie of Seattle's Station 19? Will she feel at home with her new fire family, and possibly a new love interest? Will her past impact her performance? After all, rookie mistakes can cause lives.

Ben Warren was interested in Miranda Bailey before he even met her. However despite a rough introduction and a devastating rejection, Ben finds himself as Miranda Bailey's best friend instead. Can he manage to convince her that their relationship is worth exploring or will he be forced to remain just friends with the woman of his dreams? Set in season 6, with some tweaks.
