Part One... Elena "Halfway" Highway is the daughter of Jonno Highway and the younger sister of Stuart Highway. Despite her complicated family background, Elena was largely raised by Mick Carter, who treated her as one of his own children. She became a beloved member of the Carter family and formed a close bond with them, particularly while working behind the bar at The Queen Victoria pub. Elena's relationship with Callum Dean develops after the pair grow close, but their romance is complicated by Elena's hesitation to become physically intimate with him. She repeatedly avoids taking the next step in their relationship, leaving Callum confused and believing that she is simply nervous or inexperienced. When Elena is called back to serve in the military, she undergoes an assessment with Dr Cosslett, who clears her to return to duty. Ben Mitchell witnesses Elena attempting to hurt herself, becoming one of the first people to recognise the depth of her inner struggles and the pain she has been hiding. Ben later suggests that Elena is attracted to "bad boys", but she quickly rejects the accusation. However, after Ben admits that he has developed feelings for her, the pair share a kiss, which leads to a brief affair. Ben tells Elena that he is willing to give their relationship another chance if she can prove her feelings by kissing him while completely sober. Elena kisses Ben outside The Queen Victoria, and Ben agrees to go on another date with her. Elena jokingly tells him that after that kiss, she does not want another date anyway, highlighting the playful chemistry and complicated nature of their relationship.

Ben never knew this is where he would be . Falling for a man, a man who was meant to marry a woman. A man, training to join the police. Not only falling, but the fact he would take a bullet for him. Literally. But here he was, doing just that, but he didn't know that his love for the man he would take a bullet for might end worse than the happy ever after he could have wanted...

Trouble strikes again in Watford. Albert Square to be precise. Not a surprise that a Mitchell is involved, especially not Ben. As he tried to come to terms with the crazy changes in his life, can he hold onto the most important people in his life or will he push them all away? Can he help them or will it be another story like Paul all over again? ----- Not really sure what this is. Is it random scenes I wish we had? Is it a story? Feels like it's just all their SLs being put into a random story and place in time. Read it if you fancy it!!!

He has gone through so much including being abused as a child, his mother faking her death and then "coming back from the dead" and his boyfriend Paul being beaten to death in a homophobic attack. Callum was a chef in the army. He is gay and has only just come out after 28 years. Ben has helped him through all this. Callum was going to get married to Whitney, but she walked out of the wedding after finding out he was gay. All of the above is what has happened in EastEnders. My story that I am writing is what I made up!

Ben is heartbroken about Sharon not allowing Ben to go to the funeral. Callum reassures him saying everything will be ok.
