Nikaë has always lived with her father, Beorn. She has always followed the rules and has never ventured far from home. But she has always secretly yearned for adventure, excitement, magic and sometimes even... love. When she finds that Erebor has been reclaimed by the company that had popped up in her father's home about a month ago, she just needs to venture from home. So what happens when a young shifter runs away from home? will she find a book worthy adventure? Will she get to see the ancient dwarf kingdom? What will she do when she gets a major crush on dwarf royalty? And what will her father do when he comes home from a hunt, to find her missing?

The party of thirteen dwarves and a hobbit had almost made it to the lonely mountain when an angry elvish king ruined their plans by throwing them in the dungeon. While there, kili became fast friends with the girl in the cell next to him. Why was she there? Will they escape the dungeons and take back their rightful home? Find out in The King's Pet. The two of them escaped with the other surviving dwarves of Erebor. For years the two of them were happy, they were even thinking of starting their own family. Thorin had given his people a new life in Ered Luin, until one day he came home after a long day at his blacksmith job and found the love of his life missing, and the dwarf prince never saw her again. What will happen when Thorin finds out the woman he loved is still alive with secrets he never knew about her?

Eru Ilúvatar decided to create a new race after the Elves awoke in the first age... six infant sindarin elves were taken and transformed into what the people of middle Earth would come to call battle angels.. much different from the Valar rank.. to protect and judge the people of middle Earth for their good or bad deeds.. each of these beings were a part of an Angel and a part of a demon.. they had very distinctive features.. the left side of their body was the angel, and the right side was the demon... they had giant wings.. the left wing white and the right black.. their hair on the left side was a light color usually white/goldenblonde/brown/dirty blonde/ the right side of their hair was usually black.. they had one color of eyes, however they would change color.. one changed to a glowing red orange the other bright blue or whatever natural color becomes divine and glows bright.. they had horns.. one black the other white.. small fangs.. and pointed ears.. of course.. but this was when they transformed into that being.. they looked human all the same when not.. but one quality shows.. and that would be their hair.. it stays the same in human form or not.. they were given 100 lives... Amongst that of immortality and the ability to never age.. when those lives were used up.. they would return to the heavens.. forever.. and live in peace and rest being honored for their sacrifices.. and duty to the world.. However, through the ages.. the others fought too many battles.. and used up their lives.. mind you.. no battle angel dies fast.. they all passed slowly.. each time they died, a ritual was performed by one of them to bring the other back to life.. they did this too many times through the ages.. and their lives ran out.. Except for one... who remains the last and rarest of middle Earth beings.. She meets someone who is not so different.. and life changes for them both..

Mina is a shifter. When she was younger she could shift into any animal of her chosing. But when she got older she could only shift into a large golden brown wolf. When her family were slaughtered in front of her eyes, she went on the run seeking solace in the form of Beorn. The only known last skin changer in middle earth. Beorn welcomes her as a sister and she lives many years in his company until she moves on. Hundreds of years later she gains other abilities while suppressing her shifting. She works as an otherworlder, someone who travels between middle earth and our earth rescuing halflings, hobbits and elves that are caught up in the cruel dealings of our earth. Mina's recent attempt to rescue an elfling goes bad and she ends up having to finally talk to Thranduil. When things start to crumble around her she goes to the only place she feels she belongs. Her pack. Can her and the warriors of her pack and the warriors of middle earth work together to fight this evil ?

After a failed spider mission, Legolas is left injured beyond what the Greenwood healers can help. Thranduil, worried for his son's Fea, sends him to Imladris for help. But the unit escorting the prince is attacked on the way and Legolas, after barely escaping, then fleas to the most unlikely of places where he hides, refusing to tell anyone of his whereabouts, afraid to go to Imladris, afraid to go home. This story fills in some gaps from The Return and creates a few more that I may delve into in a later fic. Beorn is a skin-changer, a man who can also take the form of a ferocious black bear. When he meets the dwarves and Bilbo in The Hobbit, he is the last of his kind -- his family was wiped out by the evil orcs. On An Archive of Our Own, author Thorinsmut wrote a story called "Pretty Bird," in which the dwarf Nori is a skin-changer like Beorn, only Nori's animal form is a bird. Meeting Nori, gives Beorn something to think about--maybe he doesn't have to be alone. Inspired by that lovely fic, I decided to write a story about how Beorn finds his mate. Also, for this story I have created a new group of Rohirrim, a clan that lives in the mountain steppes and who have darker hair and skin tones than the more common Nordic-looking people of that nation.
