When high school loner Francis receives a postcard from her long-lost father, she takes a chance on the return address and hops a one-way flight to Puerto Rico. The plane never makes it, and Frances's layover may be scheduled for eternity.
The Island of the Bermuda Triangle shares a lot in common with its ruler, the Pirate Queen Jessamine. Stunning and civilized on the outside, both landmass and matriarch are internally consumed by unspeakable darkness. When Francis is washed ashore, she quickly finds keepers of the light—a band of Lost Girls lead by Bronwyn, a hotheaded warrior in search of redemption. Though the clique’s cunning, marksmanship, and unbreakable bond have kept them out of trouble thus far, less fortunate young women are being kidnapped and sold to the swashbuckling residents of The White Cliffs. With the help of Amelia Earhart and other benevolent island dwellers, the Lost Girls try to outlast the darkness and battle for a better life for all women frozen in time.
Francis encounters pirates, pilots, psychics, and soldiers in The Bermuda Triangle, but most importantly, she discovers true friendship and the possibility of love. Fighting for her life is one thing, but what happens when she falls for a girl with more secrets than the mythical island itself?
