Bernie Dexter is a puny, slim and ungrateful actor from the country. His life is going uphill until he meets Dave Michaels, a fat and happy man with a passion for playing the piano.Bernie takes an instant disliking to Dave starts to use the greedy and selfish ways he learnt during his years in the hood.However, when a mass murderer tries to burgle Bernie, Dave springs to the rescue. Bernie begins to notices that Dave is actually rather bearable at heart. But, the pressures of Dave's job as a pianist leave him blind to Bernie's affections and Bernie takes up baking to try an distract himself.Finally, when hungry psychiatrist, Stacy Anatiolia, threatens to come between them, Dave has to act fast. But will they ever find the important love that they deserve?
