Upon find out that Simba is forcing certain animals to starve to death in the Outlands. Thomas, and his friends as well as the Lion Guard team up with all the Outlanders (consisting of the Lion Guard's hyena allies Jasiri and her clan and Scar's former army) to try and bring a new era to the Pride Lands and bring Simba down.

After Kion gives up the Roar and his duties as the Fiercest of the Lion Guard, he asks his teammates to accompany him to the Tree of Life so he can be with Queen Rani. However, Fuli sees this a betrayal and believes it undermines everything they have worked for. After years apart, the Pridelands are on edge as a neighbouring Cheetah Coalition threatens a war with King Simba. Kion is forced to return to his homeland and sacrifice his happiness for the sake of peace. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a place entirely unknown to him: the Tree of Life. Unaware of his true identity, Kion chose to settle in this mysterious kingdom. There, he met several animals who, despite his forgotten past, quickly became his friends-familiar to who read this story. But he also crossed paths with a prince named Seto, soon to be engaged to Rani. As days passed, Kion and Rani grew closer, stirring jealousy in Seto and suspicion in the king of the Tree of Life. The kingdom's balance began to falter, threatened by hidden forces lurking in the shadows, eager to seize control. Kion must remember in order to awaken a great hidden power - the only thing capable of defeating the forces of evil.

The Pridelands have been taken over by the Cheetah Clan, who ambushed the Royal Family and pushed them out of the Pridelands, now called the Savannahlands. Fuli managed to sneak away with the Pride and the Lion Guard, holding strong as the second-in-command of the Lion Guard. However, this doesn't stop the side glances and rage-filled looks that would occasionally be aimed at her. When one lioness takes it too far, the King Cheetah decides to go into the Savannahlands, only to be met with the Prince of the Cheetah Clan himself.

This is a sequel to my first story the lion guard age of the dinosaurs. In this story there are some more attacks from the dinosaurs until they all arrive at an endgame when Tom and Jerry and the Ingen Corporation, the creators of the dinosaurs come to get back their dinosaurs when the ecosystems merge due to a gap in the fences.
