The secret Society of Assassins is strictly for each second born child. In a world where magic is real, but kept secret there is also a secret society of second born witches who are trained to become assassins. Only the first born family member can wield actual magic, with it dissipating with the second born. Although magic can be wielded but the second born child, they have no actual magic of their own. Evaleigh was recruited the day she turned ten along with her twin brother Huxley. It is almost unheard of, of twins being the second born, and where the first child is a twin the magic cancels each other out, and were second born twins happen to spark short bursts of magic.
