Four years had passed since the death of Manny Noceda. Their mom, Camila, was struggling to get by, never home and constantly in and out of the hospital taking up shifts, the youngest daughter, Luz, was barely ever able to keep out of trouble at school and struggled to fit in, and the oldest, Lucía, was in constant arguments with her mom until she finally packed up all of her things in the night and ran away from home six months ago. The only thing left behind was a letter with the words "I'm making this house worse and worse" written in it. Now, Luz attending a "Reality Check Summer Camp" was supposed to make everything better, everything normal. But after running off that bus to camp to chase after her one prized possession, her Good Witch Azura book, one thing led to another and now she had ended up in some old, isolated, and hidden town named the "Boiling Isles." Everything had changed since the death of their papá. Balancing guilt, trying to conform, broken relationships, and more, it felt impossible. There were lies, secrets, and entire lives hidden from one another, and it was only a matter of time before something or someone finally unraveled it all. "I'll never be good enough for you," she said.

This The Owl House FanFic is based on @moringmark 's artwork on Instagram where Luz is a witch that is stuck on Earth and forced to live among humans. There is more to it but I don't want to spoil it now haha! I saw her artwork for this and it got me thinking so I decided to make it real(ish). If you don't know @moringmark or follow her on Instagram you should! She is an amazing artist and an inspiration! But Hope you enjoy this!

Luz Noceda was always an odd duck. She was able to see things nobody else could, but it was passed off. It was always passed off. Either she was "imaginative," or she was "schizophrenic," or she was "weird." The labels changed, but the meaning stayed the same; something was wrong with her, but the truth was far simpler, and far darker than she could have known. Luz wasn't seeing things; she was seeing curses. Curses who were gathering in her town because of secret deals made before she was born. A deal which Luz would soon stumble across, and wish she never had. This is the story of a girl who wished to live out a fantasy, but when the fantasy came for her, she found herself wanting to go back, only to find that door had closed when she arrived. The characters are 18 This is my first story so it's boutta be a lil... awful Amity is fresh outta high school and wants nothing to do with anyone but her close friends. Even they piss her off sometimes. But when this god-awful "Luz" girl sneaks into her life, she doesn't know how to feel about her.

Luz lives in an old Farmhouse built in the early 1800s, during that era, where a breed of man-eating monsters that resembles a human are casted into the world of humans. They are thirsty of blood, during that time, Luz was only a destitute child, her mother was ill, and things got worse after the Apocalypse, Lucia, Luz's older sister, who was trained by the military, she fought with countless of these blood-sucking monsters, but the rapid increase of these creatures had gotten way worse, and it's unstoppable. Lucia got bitten, and the townfolks insisted on burning Lucia's body to prevent it from evolving like those monsters. But Luz, who was left alone, had no other choice but to be independent and try to feed herself in a world like this. At daytime, she hunts down animals for food in the forest. At nighttime is when the vampires go mayhem. What could be the possible cause of these inhuman breeds? After years of suffering, Luz finally got the strength to fight these vampires; she killed them one by one and eventually got used to it. She became a hunter herself. Luz moves in with her mom's old friend Eda from collage and starts school at a high school for gifted kids. But when she learns she's not on a full scholarship, she has to find a way to make enough money to stay there. No where seems to be offering a job that pays well enough to make the money before the deadline. Soon though, she finds herself taking an interesting job working for Eda. Luz Noceda just went to summer camp. That's it, nothing more, nothing less. She hoped something magical would happen, yet, it didn't. She was stuck in this garbage human world for longer than she had expected. Getting bullied everyday, having new men brought to her house everyday, and being a outsider was just the icing on the cake. She felt like she was going to lose it. What if Luz Noceda never went to the Boiling Isles at 14? What if she instead stayed in the human world and never encountered that mysterious owl until later in her life? We'll figure out soon. The main protagonist, Luz Noceda, meets an exchange student from Glandus High. These two start off on the wrong foot but little do they both know, their connection would become both the best, and the worst thing they would have to deal with. Embark on a journey with these characters, Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, Willow Park, Edalyn Clawthorne, and King.

What if Eda never came back from the Human Realm as she hid from her mother? What if she started a new life there and settled down later? God, Amity would kill for a new life like that. To start fresh. Get away from the hell of a life in the Boiling Isles. So, what does she do? Try exactly that. Seems like the most reckless plan she's ever though of, but what has being sensible brought to her? Only pain. Get the Titan's blood during her next mission, sneak out and make the portal. Seems simple right? [a/n yall this is another barely planned out fanfic again!!1!!1!1! Wooooo The idea for Eda staying in the Human Realm was thought of by my friend so credits to them (they allowed me to use it in fanfic writing) and the rest is me mostly improving. Chapters will be a LOT shorter than in my other one, Taken To Another World, but m a y b e I can post more often]

After defeating Emperor Belos, the portal to the Human Realm bursts. But he didn't collapse before Eda managed to get Luz inside. Luz is now alone in the Human Realm, no Willow, no Gus, no King, no Eda, no Amity... It's been 4 years, and The Owl House gang is unrecognizable. Everyone has grown up and changed, but one thing remains the same, Amity's feelings for Luz. The question is, does Luz feel the same? After a new threat, which destroyed the Boiling Isles, the team that survived is now in the Human Realm. They will see Luz for the first time after 4 long years, but will they recognize her? Has Luz changed, for the better? Or worse?
