Four years can change a lot about a person, and when Luz returns to the Boiling Isles, she sees her old friends are not the same as they once were, especially her old crush, Amity. Four years had passed since the death of Manny Noceda. Their mom, Camila, was struggling to get by, never home and constantly in and out of the hospital taking up shifts, the youngest daughter, Luz, was barely ever able to keep out of trouble at school and struggled to fit in, and the oldest, Lucía, was in constant arguments with her mom until she finally packed up all of her things in the night and ran away from home six months ago. The only thing left behind was a letter with the words "I'm making this house worse and worse" written in it. Now, Luz attending a "Reality Check Summer Camp" was supposed to make everything better, everything normal. But after running off that bus to camp to chase after her one prized possession, her Good Witch Azura book, one thing led to another and now she had ended up in some old, isolated, and hidden town named the "Boiling Isles." Everything had changed since the death of their papá. Balancing guilt, trying to conform, broken relationships, and more, it felt impossible. There were lies, secrets, and entire lives hidden from one another, and it was only a matter of time before something or someone finally unraveled it all. The main protagonist, Luz Noceda, meets an exchange student from Glandus High. These two start off on the wrong foot but little do they both know, their connection would become both the best, and the worst thing they would have to deal with. Embark on a journey with these characters, Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, Willow Park, Edalyn Clawthorne, and King.

Luz Noceda just went to summer camp. That's it, nothing more, nothing less. She hoped something magical would happen, yet, it didn't. She was stuck in this garbage human world for longer than she had expected. Getting bullied everyday, having new men brought to her house everyday, and being a outsider was just the icing on the cake. She felt like she was going to lose it. What if Luz Noceda never went to the Boiling Isles at 14? What if she instead stayed in the human world and never encountered that mysterious owl until later in her life? We'll figure out soon. In this story amity's aromantic and when a clumsy idiot comes to her school, she begins to fall for them. After many years without liking someone, how come this one person catches her eye. (Okay this is not the BEST description, but it has to do for now until i figure out a better one) This is my first fanfic so be nice and constructive criticism is welcome, this is also a bit of a slowburn with "enemies" to "friends" to "lovers" trope. Oh they are also 17, they have there beta designs and also kind of their personality's.
