The factions are a thing of the past. Now everyone lives together in Chicago. The "factions" are still in Divergent High but no one knows exactly why. In Candor a girl named Elizabeth or Lizzie for short, lives with her parents. Later on her mom passes away from cancer. When Lizzie turns 13, her dad starts to rape her every other night.
