Daryl, a cocky, good looking redneck is determined to get under her skin, but still be able to protect her. Beth is torn between choosing the right thing to do, or fall in love,which will lead to a certain death. All she knows is that she must fight the dead, and fear the living.

Beth is a struggling singer moonlighting as a barista. Daryl is a surly mechanic whose even surlier without his morning coffee.

Then shit hits the fan and walkers overrun the prison and the group gets separated but this gives Beth and Daryl a chance to get to know one another!
