Let me tell you a story, not one of love and happiness, but one of betrayal and sadness. There once was a demigod named Perseus Jackson. Perseus was a powerful demigod, a child of Poseidon. He saved the world twice, held up the sky, fell into Tartarus, the list goes on. Perseus was named after the son of Zeus, because he was the only hero with a happy ending. But, in Percy's first life, he didn't get a happy ending. Everyone loved him, until a certain demigod came to camp. The demigod wasn't powerful, at least, not compared to Percy. The demigod was a wimp. The demigod was a child of Aphrodite, a jealous one. He turned Percy's friends against him, then the girl he fell into Tartarus for, the girl that he loved, then he turned the gods against Percy. His father, Poseidon, disowned him. Percy was miserable, so he left Camp Half-Blood and ran, ran as far as his legs would carry him. I know this story well, I have felt the heartbreak, for I was once the hero they called Perseus Jackson. Not anymore. Now I am Commander Alpha. I am the son of Chaos, creator of the universe.
